Weather & Terrain
September is one of the most beautiful times of the year in Sonoma, with warm, sunny afternoons and comfortably cool evenings. Average daytime temperatures are in the low 80s°F, with evenings dipping into the mid-50s°F after sunset.
As the celebration will be entirely outdoors (mix of grass and pavement) and temperatures will cool as the evening goes on, we recommend bringing a jacket or wrap. We’ll also have heaters, a limited number of pashminas available, and plenty of great drinks going around to keep you warm.
Dress Code: California Cocktail Attire
Think polished but relaxed, with breathable, flowy fabrics such as linen and silk. Midi dresses, elevated separates, lightweight suits, or dress pants and a button-down are encouraged. Ties are optional. Since the celebration will take place entirely outdoors, we recommend shoes suitable for grass and bringing a layer for the evening.
Transportation & Getting Around
Transportation will be provided to and from the following Glen Ellen hotels:
4:30pm: Olea Hotel
4:45pm: Gaige House, Glen Ellen Inn, & Jack London Lodge
Look for a black SUV or sprinter van from Pure Luxury Transportation outside the main entrance of your hotel. Shuttles will be available for return trips throughout the evening, whenever you’re ready to head out.If you have not yet RSVP'd for a shuttle and would like to use one, please respond to this email as soon as possible with your hotel.
If you are driving or taking an Uber, the gate will be open from 4:45pm-7:00pm and valet will be waiting for you in the upper lot. If you plan to arrive outside of that window, please email concierge@vanessapenceevents.com ahead of time so we can provide you with the gate code.
For assistance with airport transfers and winery tours, we recommend Pure Luxury Transportation or Pleasant Limo.
